An Ancient Celebration

An Ancient Celebration was a small island located south of the Main Island that was once again visible between the 26th of January and the 23rd February 2024 for the 14th of the Ancient Events. It was split into two chapters, the first with an Wind (anniversary) theme and the second with a Water theme. The island could also be accessed through the button located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

The An Ancient Celebration (anniversary) island appeared in Chapter I as the hub for the second iteration of the Ancient Wind Thematic, which took place between the 26th of January and the 9 February. The Origin of Water Island returned in Chapter II as the hub for the second iteration of the Ancient Water Thematic, which took place between the 9th and 23rd of February.

The period of time during the appearance of An Ancient Celebration, the event displayed several menus, the time left for those, as well as its main prize Dragons and badges. Many Dragons, such as the Dragon of the Month or those from bundles independent of the island and its events, were also displayed among these rewards, even though the method of obtaining said Dragons remained the usual one.

During the whole period of the An Ancient Celebration events, the I'ajir Dragon was obtainable, not in a single event, but as a result of the other events in An Ancient Celebration. To get the I'ajir Dragon, the Trainer had to complete the Ancient Collection (24/01/26).

Chapter I: Windy Birthday

Ancient Collection

Ancient Tickets I

Ancient Tickets were available throughout the first half of the event and had the sole purpose of opening the Ancient Chest. These could be purchased in exchange for Gems or could be obtained from various bundles, from Dragon Dice, from other Events running during the period, and from the Ancient Chest itself.

Ancient Chest I

The Ancient Chest button allowed the Trainer to access the Chest Room, where Tickets could be exchanged to open Ancient Chests. The Ancient Chest button itself displayed either the chest or the main reward Dragon. In the top corner was a i or button that could be pressed to display all possible rewards held in Ancient Chests. It also displayed the number of items awarded for each chest opened, and the information cards also displayed a i button that could be used to bring up the awarding stats.

During the first half of the event, the following items were available in the Altar.

Talisman are a form of currency that can be spent only at the Ancient Altar in exchange for Dragon Pieces.

• For the first two weeks 26 January - 9 February, the returning Wind Ancient: Fovan and the new Ancient: Varapara were available.
• Throughout the entire event, the returning Shadow Ancient: Myrkur was available provided the Talisman Generator was purchased.

Wow, your brow looks as stormy as a storm cloud! Eh...? Who are you? Why are you approaching me? Because you look so sad, and you should be celebrating! There's so much to party about! Nine whole years, in fact!!! You are a strange little creature, and I am busy pondering important things! This is no time for celebration... Begone with you already! Hoho! To think I'd ever meet fellow beings of wind... and they'd all be such weaklings! They're like those things humans are so fond of wiping their hind paws upon... Err...doormats! That's it! The Ancient Wind Tribe are a bunch of doormats! I should take over this floating pile of vapor and show them what a REAL master of wind can do-- Huh...? What are you staring at, you strange little thing? You're spoiling the party! You're totally harshing the vibes! What? What party?! I'll teach you how to be a proper party guest! Now pick up a party popper and a party hat and prepare to be party pummeled! Ahh, another peaceful day in Sky City... I've only just arrived, but I must say, my kin in the Ancient Wind Tribe have made me feel quite welcome! Alas, they've seemed so distracted lately... I suppose strange things have been happening-- Oh! You there, little dragon! Did my kin send you to celebrate my new arrival? How exciting! Um... I don't know who you are, but it's not YOUR birthday, it's Dragon Mania Legends' birthday! It's nine years old! D-Dragon Mania...? What in the great blue sky are you talking about? SURELY my arrival is a greater cause for celebration than... WHATever or WHOever that is! Hmmm... I don't think you really get it. Let me show you the super-fun power of Dragon Mania Legends! There you are! Sorry to leap at you like this, little one, but my kin don't seem to be in the partying mood. They've called on me to... um... resolve the issue... While I thank you for dispatching with that ornery Polveles, I wonder if you could perhaps celebrate a bit more... peacefully? Hmm... well, you're nice, so I'll hear you out. But how do you mean, "peacefully"? Who ever heard of a peaceful party?! Right, right. Sky City does LOVE a celebration, but perhaps we can go about it another way. Here, would you like to give out my enchanted seeds as party favors? If you pass them all around, the land will be full of lush forests, and then we'll have even MORE to celebrate! You know what? That DOES sound like a party! Okay, I'll do it. But first, let's celebrate right here, right now, with a mega-exciting party-ful battle!

Where am I...? It's so nice here... The breeze is cool and the water is warm... It all feels so new... WAHOO! It worked! Those magical seeds the Ancient Wind dragon gave me really did sprout into something amazing: YOU! I guess you DO sort of look like a tree? I came from a seed? Life certainly is an amazing thing... Hey, that makes today your BIRTHDAY! We should celebrate! Party! Party! Party! Calm yourselves! This is a sensitive time for the Ancients! Some very important guests have mysteriously found themselves amongst the Ancient Water Tribe, and we must be vigilant-- Wow! What an occasion! Say, we can turn today into a welcome party AND a birthday party if we try hard enough! How wonderful! Back home, the land is hot and covered in magma... this place is a paradise in comparison! I feel like the water element inside me is singing and dancing... YOU look like someone who likes to celebrate! There's so much to party about! It's our 9th birthday after all! As much as I'd like to celebrate, um, all of these things... I can't help but feel I've been placed here to celebrate something... different. That's great! We can party until we figure out what you're meant to celebrate! Hehe... You two amuse me. Many of the dragons here are fairly self-serious types. They're all wondering why my kin in the Ancient Fire Tribe are not where we belong... But rather than fixing this issue, I'd much rather party about it. Shall we? Look, look! If this Fire Ancient is anything like the other one, it'll definitely celebrate with us! A fiery fete awaits! Ha! Aren't you two lively? What a relief! Nobody seems to realize that our arrival deserves a grand welcome pa-- A WELCOME PARTY?! You UNDERSTAND me! That's right! A welcome party in honor of the great Ik'ez's visit to the Great Sea! That does sound nice, but I can't help feeling as though there's something else I should be celebrating... What could it be...? I'm sure you'll remember if we battle a bit, right? Come on now, we'll have a grand, celebratory battle -- and then have our fill of tropical fruits! Hello! I must apologize for my kin's ill manners. We are all a little confused, but... Personally... I appreciate the festive nature you two have brought to our lands-- err... our seas. In fact, as the new year arrives, I think us Ancient Water dragons could rethink our attitudes-- THAT'S IT!!! What's "it"? Did you think of a great present? Well, sort of. Or maybe... a great future? Anyway, I know what I'm here to celebrate: the Lunar New Year! The year of the wood dragon! It's finally here, and so am I! Now THAT deserves a party! Let's have our most fun battle yet to celebrate the new year!
